The busiest times of day for Studio 890 are late afternoon through evenings (4 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) and Saturdays. These are the times that we recommend booking farther out in advance for. Also, a lot of the master designers work rotating Saturdays or shorter shifts, so they fill in even faster. We recommend you ask your designer to give you a back-up name or two in case you need to see another team member in the event of an emergency or last minute need for an appointment. It seems to be much easier to accommodate requests during the afternoon (12 p.m. – 4 p.m.). Frequently, we can accommodate last minute requests during these times.
During the year, the busiest months tend to be from May through August and November through December (summer and holiday season). Everyone’s schedules get crazy during these times, and especially so for salons. Weddings, graduations, vacations and summer highlighting keep us very busy in June and July, and August fills up with back to school appointments and people darkening their hair color for fall. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s need no explanation.
This is my first visit to Studio 890. What can I expect?
Upon arrival at any of our salons, please check in with our customer service representatives at the front desk. They will announce you to your salon professional. You may then help yourself to complimentary tea, coffee or water and sit in our waiting area. We always have a collection of hair magazines and books for you to peruse, and many of our stylists have portfolios that they have put together with current looks and trends in both cut and color.
While you are waiting, feel free to browse the retail area and sample our hair and cosmetics.
How far in advance should I book an appointment?
Depending on your schedule’s flexibility, we can generally accommodate you within a few weeks time. For master designers, lengthy services or specific evening or weekend hours, perhaps longer.
Can I bring my kids along with me?
Studio 890 likes to provide as relaxing and peaceful environment for you to enjoy as possible. Because of this, we ask that all children under the age of 10 are brought to the salon only when receiving services and are accompanied by an adult at all times.
How much notice do I have to give for cancellations?
We require a 24-hour cancellation notice for all appointments. This courtesy enables our salon professionals to provide services for other clients.
